My family is looking at a few diff. large breeds. We are a family of 5 and have 3 children. Would you reconmend a leonberger puppy?

Yes, i would recommend a Leo puppy. They are wonderful family dogs. Leos love kids and are very affectionate. This is one of the main reasons we raise them.

Today is Joey's (Emmit's) first birthday. What a huge gorgeous guy he is. He looks like his daddy Odin!
Enjoyed looking at all the adorable puppy album pictures. Leos rule!

We purchased our Leonberger "Emmet" from Windswept Farm about 5 1/2 months ago. He now goes by "Joey", and he is a beautiful, wonderful big guy. He has become a very precious part of our family, what a joy to watch him growing up! He is indeed growing and growing. Just wanted to let you know how much we love and enjoy our big beautiful dog, he is truly a gentle giant..
Thanks,
Lynda

Hi..I metmy first Leo in August of last year, outside the obedience ring of the Susquehanna valley show. He was sitting "head and shoulders" above all the goldens.. I grew up in a Setter (English) showing family, spent a few young years in and around shows.(and thought I knew most, if not all, breeds)- THIS guy sat down next to where I was standing, and his head ws touching my elbow! I then made the mistake of looking down into those beautiful eyes, and, aye, I was smitten.. Have been without a dog since December of 09, partly because I am the "next adopter" of my 98+ years old mother's rough coated collie, whom she got at 96! But.. I still desire a Leo..While our house consists of 2 adults, there will be a grandson visiting in the spring..Leos and small children seem to be made for each other. good luck with the whelping!~

We loved our rescued Newf for 12 years. It was heartbreaking to loose her. We love big dogs and a Leonberger seems to be just what we are looking for. Hopefully find a loving laid back family friend.

Hi Karen, I had a Newf mix who passed years ago and then found the Leo. The are beautiful with the same disposition as a Newf. Do your research with the breed and breeder and you will find your loving laid back family friend. I've had 4 Leos over the years and have never been disappointed.
